Four cybersecurity names took the top gainer slots at Friday's close, with CrowdStrike up 8.2% to lead a group that rarely moves in lockstep. The damage sat in telecom, where AT&T and T-Mobile both landed among the day's worst losers alongside Bloom Energy.

American Tower opened up 8.07%, the only move above 4% on the upside across a 385-name board. Bloom Energy is off 11.67%, with Moderna, Infosys, GE Aerospace and AT&T sliding too.
Nearly 16 points separated the best and worst close across a 390-name watchlist, with Super Micro Computer up 9.56% to $35.58 and AT&T down 6.08% to $22. AI infrastructure and crypto-linked names took the top spots; communications and consumer took the hits.
Super Micro Computer opened up 13.4%, the biggest move across a 387-name priority list, with Dell, Vertiv and Bloom Energy also clearing 5%. Netflix and AT&T anchor the other end, each off roughly 4.8%.
The selloff is about a $2.6 billion non-cash impairment on the Mexico wireless unit now being sold to Grupo Televisa, not the business investors are paying for. Underneath it sits a sixth straight EPS beat, a raised 2026 outlook to roughly $2.40, record fiber growth, and management still promising $24 billion or more in buybacks through 2028.
All three major US wireless carriers closed down double digits on the same day, a rare sweep for names usually bought as defensive income. Moderna's 13.8% gain topped the board on the other side.
All three major US wireless carriers are at the bottom of the board at the open, with T-Mobile down 8.9% and AT&T and Verizon close behind. Optical names lead the other side, Applied Optoelectronics up 8.9%.
AT&T's TBB baby bond marked a fresh 52-week low at $18.66, 0.9% under the floor it set on September 30. Buyers have not held a line here since last October, so the next bid is the one to watch.
