AT&T Inc. is a U.S. telecommunications company that provides wireless, fiber-based internet, and legacy voice and data services to more than 100 million consumer and nearly 2.5 million business customers. The company operates through three segments: Advanced Connectivity (domestic 5G wireless, fiber broadband, fixed wireless, and business connectivity services), Legacy (copper-based voice and data services being decommissioned), and Latin America (wireless services in Mexico, which is held for sale). AT&T is executing a converged connectivity strategy centered on pairing its 5G wireless network with an expanding fiber footprint, targeting over 60 million fiber locations by end of 2030. The company completed an acquisition of Lumen Technologies' mass markets fiber business in early 2026 and has agreed to divest its Mexico wireless business to Grupo Televisa and Fintech Holdings.
