The good news, according to the company, is that prices for 4K devices have now reached a level at which they are available at a reasonable cost. And the company is promoting this range of devices with some sale pricing.
For example, an Insignia 43-inch 2160p LED 4K HD smart TV with Roku (model #NS-43DR710NA17) is selling for $379.99, a savings of $20 from the regular price. Shipping is free and the company offers buyers up to 50% savings on a universal remote control that can control up to four other devices. The remote (model #NS-RMT415) has a regular price of $29.99, and Best Buy offers a savings of $10 on a new one and $15 on an open-box version.
A Samsung 50-inch 2160p LED 4K Ultra HD smart TV sells for $649.99, a savings of $200 from the regular price, and shipping is free.
A Samsung 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player with built-in Wi-Fi (model #UBD-K8500) is available for $369.99, a savings of $20. Maximum video output resolution is 2160p, the same as the display capability of a 4K HD TV. Shipping is free.
A Roku 4 streaming media player (model #4400R) sells for $124.99, a savings of $5 with free shipping. Best Buy also sweetens the deal with a $50 savings on Sling TV when buyers prepay for a three-month subscription to the service.
And to make your own films, Best Buy is selling a DJI Phantom 3 4K Quadcopter (model #CP.PT.000308) for $599.99, a $200 savings. The drone comes equipped with a 4K video camera and Wi-Fi. Shipping is free.
