Asia Markets 5/8/2007 Shanghai Up Almost 3%

Markets in Asia were down slightly with the exception of Shanghai’s Composite.
The Nikkei fell .1% to 17,657. Canon (CAJ) was down .4% to 7960. NTT (NTT) was up .5% to 622000. Softbank was down 1.1% to 2700. Sony (SNE) was flat at 6560. Toyota (TM) was down .4% to 7240.
The Hang Seng fell .8% to 20,735. China Life (LFC) was down 2% to 24.95. China Mobile (CHL) was down .6% to 72.15. HSBC (HBC) was down .4% to 146.1. PCCW (PCW) was down 1.8% to 4.87.
The Shanghai Composite rose over 2.8% to 3,950.
