Markets in Asia were down sharply.
The Nikkei fell 2% to 16,148. Hitachi (HIT) fell 4.1% to 769. Honda (HMC) fell 3.6% to 3780.
The Hang Seng fell 3.7% to 20.580. China Mobil (CHL) fell 4.2% to 80.65. China Petroleum (SNP) fell 3.7% to 7.04.
The KOSPI fell 6.9% to 1,692.
The Shanghai Composite fell 2.1% to 4,765.
