Markets in Europe were up sharply at 6.15 AM New York time.
The FTSE rose 1% to 6,548. British Air (BAB) rose 2.7% to 435. BT (BT) rose 1.9% to 314.5. Intercontinental Hotels rose 4.6% to 1082. Rio Tinto (RTP) rose 3.4% to 4228. Vodafone (VOD) rose 4% to 185.4.
The DAXX was up 1% to 7,910. Detusche Telekom (DT) rose 2.9% to 13.78. Siemens (SI) rose 2.2% to 91.99.
The CAC 40 moved up 1% to 5,732. France Telecom (FTE) was up 6.4% to 25.27.
