Asia Markets And Europe Open (10/20/2009)
Markets in Asia were higher. The Nikkei rose 1% to 10,337. The Hang Seng was up 1% to 22,531. PetroChina (NYSE:PTR) rose. The Shanghai Composite was up by 1.5% to 3,084. At the open in Europe, the FTSE was down…

The Nikkei rose 1% to 10,337.
The Hang Seng was up 1% to 22,531. PetroChina (NYSE:PTR) rose.
The Shanghai Composite was up by 1.5% to 3,084.
At the open in Europe, the FTSE was down .1% to 5,277. A large investor will sell a stake in Barclays (NYSE:BCS). The Dax was up .2% to 5,863, and the CAC 40 was higher by .1% to 3,895.
