Elan Corporation, plc. (NYSE: ELN) is up 5.6% premarket to $10.17, relative to a 52-week range of $4.25-$12.60. The company was upgraded from neutral to outperform at Credit Suisse, and is being buoyed by gains in the UK markets.
Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE: S) is up 1.6% premarket to $3.65, within a 52-week range of $2.98-$6.45. There are rumors that the carrier will provide coverage for the iPhone 5.
United Therapeutics Corporation (NASDAQ: UTHR) is down 19% premarket to $39.45, relative to a 52-week range of $46.14-$70.74. The company was downgraded to hold from buy at Deutsche Bank.
