NYSE Euronext Inc. (NYSE: NYX) is reportedly one step closer to getting its Deutsche Boerse merger approved, but shares are down 1% so far this morning.

SPDR Gold Shares (NYSE: GLD) is down again with gold, in part on more chatter that John Paulson’s hedge fund is down big again in August and is selling gold to raise cash and to lock in big profits.
