US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told Bloomberg News that he is “pretty certain” that President Obama will not ask him to remain if the President is re-elected. Geithner went on to say:

I’m confident he’ll be president. But I’m also confident he’s going to have the privilege of having another secretary of the Treasury.

Geithner is the last remaining member of Obama’s original economic team. He did not reveal future plans except to say that he would be doing “something else.”
