New data from Gallup shows that a huge number of Europeans believe the jobs market will not improve. That is bound to hurt consumer spending and add to the vicious cycle which continues as area governments look for austerity savings while hoping their economies–and employment pictures–will miraculously improve
Gallup reports that
A median of 12% of EU residents in 2011 said it was a good time to find a job where they live, while a median of 80% said it was a bad time. Residents of Greece were most pessimistic, while Germans were most optimistic.
