There is nothing special to be taken away from the new Gallup poll about how well US economic confidence is doing. The Conference Board has said as much as has the University of Michigan. The federal government revised Q4 GDP to a robust 3%. Unemployment has improve every month for eight, and the economy added 200,000 jobs last month.
Gallup’s new report shows that
The Gallup Economic Confidence Index rose five points in February to -22, marking the sixth straight month confidence has increased. While the monthly average was up, weekly data show some erosion of confidence in late February.
