The 52-Week Low Club for Wednesday

August 27, 2014: Among the 11 stocks making new 52-week lows today were the following three firms:

Ampio Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NYSEMKT: AMPE) dropped another 4.5% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $4.65. The company’s shares dropped 24% last Thursday following a delay in a STEP study for its osteoarthritis drug, and the slide hasn’t stopped. Share volume is about 40% above the daily average of around 850,000. The stock’s 52-week high is $10.86.

Eclipse Resources Corp. (NYSE: ECR) slipped another 1.2% today, adding to a decline of about 3% on Monday and 2.4% yesterday to post another new 52-week low of $17.26 compared with the stock’s 52-week high of $27.18. The high was posted on Eclipse’s IPO date and the stock is down more than 32% since the June 20th IPO. Volume is again about half the daily average of around 1.4 million shares traded.

Titan Machinery Inc. (NASDAQ: TITN) dropped about 8.3% today to post a new 52-week low of $12.33. Volume is about 4-times the daily average of around 160,000 shares. The company had no news today other than announcing its second-quarter conference call for September 9th.. The company’s 52-week high is $20.40.
