The 52-Week Low Club for Tuesday

October 28, 2014: Here are four stocks among the 71 equities making new 52-week lows today.

Coach Inc. (NYSE: COH) dropped about 8% today to post a new 52-week low of $33.25. The stock’s 52-week high is $57.95. Coach reported weak U.S. earnings this morning that overshadowed the company’s gans overseas. Trading volume is about 3-times the daily average of around 4.2 million shares traded.

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (NYSE: FCX) dropped about 5.4% on Tuesday to a new 52-week low of $28.64 after closing at $30.29 on Monday evening. Share volume is more than double the daily average of around 9.2 million. The company reported light profits and will lower output at its Indonesian copper mine.

Honda Motor Co. Ltd. (NYSE: HMC) posted a drop of about 4.9% today to post a new 52-week low of $29.30 against a 52-week high of $42.96. Volume is about double the daily average of around 1 million shares. The carmaker cut its sales forecast citing competition in Japan and China and the impact of recalls on new product development.

Pandora Media Inc. (NYSE: P) dropped to a new 52-week low on Tuesday of $19.25. Based on Monday night’s closing price of $19.31 (a new low set yesterday) that’s a drop of just 0.3%, and the shares have come back strong today trading up around 3% in the last 45 minutes of Tuesday’s trading session. The stock’s 52-week high is $40.44. Trading volume is about 10% below the daily average of around 6.8 million shares. The Internet radio company hired a new chief product officer today.
