September 10, 2015: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 125 equities making new 52-week lows today.

Avon Products Inc. (NYSE: AVP) dropped more than 10% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low at $4.07 after closing at $4.53 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $13.72. Share volume was more than 4 times the daily average of around 7.5 million. The cosmetics retailer’s stock popped to more than $5 today on a report that the company is talking with private equity firms regarding further investments. The euphoria didn’t last and shares traded around $4.25 shortly before closing today.

Spirit Realty Capital Inc. (NYSE: SRC) dropped about 3.2% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $8.89 against a 52-week high of $13.00. The stock closed at $9.18 on Wednesday night. Volume is nearly 5 times the daily average of around 4.76 million shares traded. The company had no specific news today.

Itaú Unibanco Holding SA (NYSE: ITUB) posted a new 52-week low on Thursday. Shares dropped about 0.6% to a low of $6.68 from Wednesday’s closing price of $6.72. The stock’s 52-week high is $15.65. Volume totaled about 10% below the daily average of around 20 million. The company had no specific news today, but Brazilian stocks and ADRs got hammered today.

Barrick Gold Corp. (NYSE: ABX) dropped about 4.2% on Thursday to set a new 52-week low of $6.13 after closing at $6.40 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $17.01. Share volume totaled around 15 million shares, about a third below the daily average of around 23 million. The company had no specific news today.
