Facebook, Nvidia Dive into Monday’s 52-Week Low Club

November 19, 2018: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 198 equities making new 52-week lows by mid-afternoon on Monday. On the NYSE decliners were leading advancers by about 3.57 to 1, and on the Nasdaq, decliners led advancers by about 3.27 to 1.

Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ: NVDA) traded down nearly 9.7% at $148.50 Monday after closing at $164.43 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $292.76. Volume was more than double the daily average of around 12.7 million. The company’s outlook statement did not please investors.

Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ: FB) traded down about 5.9% at $131.32 Monday after closing at $139.53 on Thursday. The stock’s 52-week high is $218.62 and volume was about 30% higher than the daily average of around 24.6 million. The company had no specific news but gets little love from investors these days following a press report of how it deals with challenges.

Weatherford International plc (NYSE: WFT) dropped about 3.8% Monday to set a new 52-week low of $0.75. Shares closed at $0.78 on Friday and the stock’s 52-week high is $4.41. Volume was about 20% below the daily average of around 21.7 million. The company had no specific news.

Activision Blizzard Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI) traded down about 4% Monday and posted a new 52-week low of $48.89 after closing Friday at $50.49. The stock’s 52-week high is $84.68. Volume was about 15% below the daily average of around 8.4 million.  The game maker had no specific news.
