Apple, Ford Sink into Monday's 52-Week Low Club

December 24, 2018: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 1,615 equities trading at new 52-week lows Monday. On the NYSE, decliners led advancers by about 3.02 to 1 and decliners led advancers on the Nasdaq by about 2.159 to 1.

The three major indexes are closed the day with losses currently ranging between 2.2% and around 2.9%. Crude oil traded down about 3.4% on the day and is on track to settle at $44.05 a barrel. Gold settled up 1.1% at $1,271.80 for the day. U.S. markets are closing early today and will be closed tomorrow for the Christmas holiday.

Bank of America Corp. (NYSE: BAC) traded down about 3% to post a new 52-week low of $22.66 Monday after closing at $23.37 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $33.05. Volume was about 25% lower than the daily average of around 72 million. The big bank had no specific news.

AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) traded down more than 3% to post a new 52-week low of $27.36 Monday after closing at $28.31 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $39.33 and volume was about 15% below the daily average of around 26 million. The company had no specific news.

Ford Motor Co. (NYSE: F) dropped about 4.6% Monday to set a new 52-week low of $7.68. Shares closed at $8.05 on Friday and the stock’s 52-week high is $13.48. Volume was about a third lower than the daily average of around 49 million. The company had no specific news.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) traded down about 2.3% Monday and posted a new 52-week low of $147.27 after closing Friday at $150.73. The stock’s 52-week high is $233.47. Volume was about 25% lower than the daily average of around 40 million. The company had no specific news.
