AI XRP Price Prediction: What Could XRP Be Worth by December After a 50% Rally?

XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) is up 50% from its $0.9877 cycle low on August 17 to about $1.51 today, in what remains its best rally this year.

The rally followed the U.S. Treasury’s decision to increase long-term bond buybacks to at least $4 billion per operation, while the 30-year Treasury yield fell from 5.34% to 5.19%.

Every XRP holder wants to know what XRP could be worth by the end of the year. So, we put our AI model to work and asked it for an XRP price prediction for December.

What Led to XRP’s 50% Rally?

The XRP price fell to $0.9877 on August 17, a new cycle low, before climbing to about $1.51 by August 23, a gain of roughly 50% in six trading days. That move added over $30 billion to XRP’s market cap, from $62 billion at the low to around $94 billion today.

XRP’s rally was driven by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s announcement that the department would at least double its long-term bond buybacks, raising the cap from $2 billion to at least $4 billion per operation starting September 9.

A 30-year Treasury yield that had just hit a 19-year high of 5.34% fell to 5.19% within hours of that announcement, and the dollar weakened to a three-month low. Lower yields and a weaker dollar typically pull money into riskier assets like XRP, and its price started climbing that same day, alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Spot XRP ETFs also recorded more than $38 million over the next four days of the rally, including a single-day record above $18 million on August 21. XRP also reclaimed $1.40, a level that had rejected every rebound attempt for three months and has continued to climb since.

What Does Our AI Model Predict for XRP by December?

We put XRP’s current rally, its ETF flow data, and the CLARITY Act’s September 15 timeline into our AI model and asked for a December price target. Here are the three scenarios XRP could trade by the end of the year, depending on how key catalysts line up.

Bull Prediction

The AI model’s bullish prediction needs multiple catalysts to work together, led by the CLARITY Act. If the Senate clears its September 15 cloture vote and holds a full floor vote before Thanksgiving, XRP ETF inflow could break the records for both its single-day inflows and monthly inflows.

XRP’s ETFs recorded $131.94 million in May, their best month since launch, before falling to $1.01 million between August 3 and August 7. Their net inflow pace has since improved, with single-day inflows reaching $18 million on August 21. However, monthly inflows need to clear May’s $131.94 million and hold there through November to confirm institutional investors are back.

XRP could reach $3 in such a scenario, which would push its market cap to roughly $186 billion, a 25.53% increase from its market cap of $94 billion.

Base Prediction

The model suggests that the CLARITY Act only needs to clear cloture on September 15 for XRP to hold most of its current gains. The bill’s full floor vote can wait until 2027, and XRP could still work its way toward $1.85.

XRP ETFs recorded a net inflow of $39.78 million last week, per SoSoValue, their best weekly performance since May. This outlook only needs XRP ETFs to continue their current pace.

At that pace, and with the cloture vote passing, XRP would trade at $1.85 by December, near where it traded on January 1, and would put its market cap at $116 billion.

Bear Prediction

The AI model’s bearish outlook hangs on the CLARITY Act’s cloture vote failing outright on September 15. A failed vote would remove the one regulatory catalyst still ahead of XRP, and its price could fall below the $1.29 support it built this week.

XRP’s ETFs have recorded inflows every day since this rally started, but a failed vote could change that fast if investors who bought in the $1.44 to $1.46 zone start selling instead of waiting to break even.

In this scenario, XRP would lose this week’s gains and fall below the $1 level it reached on August 11, before dipping to our AI model’s bearish target of $0.78.

Can XRP Realistically Reach the AI’s December Target?

XRP is more likely to hit $1.85 by December, our AI model’s base outlook, than $3, the bullish forecast. A cloture vote passing the Senate only forces a floor vote, but doesn’t make the CLARITY Act law. While forcing a floor vote would be ideal, our AI model’s bullish outlook requires the Senate to pass the bill for XRP to reach $3 by December.

XRP ETF inflows would also need to outpace their best month this year, $131.94 million in May, and do it for four straight months. XRP’s ETFs have never managed that even once since May.

On the other hand, the cloture vote passing on September 15 and ETF inflows continuing at a steady pace are all that matters for XRP to reach $1.85 by December.

However, a full Senate floor vote and passage before Thanksgiving would put the bullish outlook in view. But a failed cloture vote on September 15 could send XRP toward our AI model’s bearish prediction of $0.78.
