UiPath Slides 3%, Extending a 24% Monthly Decline; ServiceNow and Pegasystems Slip

UiPath is sinking again while the broader software sector barely budges, and the automation corner of the market may be telling investors something the headline numbers are not.

UiPath (NYSE:PATH | PATH Price Prediction) is sliding again, extending a monthly drawdown that stands out sharply from the software group and keeps the automation name in a persistent downtrend. UiPath stock is at $12.70, down 3% in afternoon trading. The move deepens a slump that has built through the past month rather than opening a fresh leg lower.

Pegasystems (NASDAQ:PEGA) is also softer, hinting that the enterprise automation corner is being treated differently from software as a whole. Pegasystems stock is at $34.72, down 1%. Additionally, in the same category, ServiceNow

For sector context, the iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF (CBOE:IGV) is at $107.86, down 0.22%. With the fund barely lower, UiPath’s move is name-specific rather than sector-wide.

UiPath Stock Carries Its Own Loss

UiPath stock is now down 24% over the past month, putting much of the story’s weight on the trailing four weeks. The current slippage simply adds to a decline already well established heading into the session.

Continued selling in a name already deep into a monthly slide, with no new information attached, is the most plausible read for PATH stock.

Momentum unwinds of this kind often carry their own gravity. UiPath’s chart has moved from a defended base to a broken one, and price discovery on the downside continues without a fresh input to interrupt the flow.

UiPath Moves Apart From Its Sector

The contrast against the fund matters for reading UiPath. The iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF is only fractionally lower while UiPath is falling, which points to a name-specific driver rather than broad software demand. The selling in UiPath is happening in isolation from the group.

Pegasystems stock trading lower alongside UiPath stock sharpens that read. Both names sit in the enterprise automation corner of software, suggesting that automation is the smaller circle being sold rather than software at large. That corner-level pressure is a more accurate frame for UiPath than any sector-wide narrative.

Even so, Pegasystems’s slippage is more modest than UiPath’s, keeping UiPath the clear focus of the day’s weakness. UiPath carries an outsized share of the pain relative to its automation peer and to the software fund.

There is a corner-level headwind that captures Pegasystems too, and there is a name-specific overhang that pulls UiPath further than its peer. Both layers matter when sizing one’s exposure to UiPath stock.

What to Watch Next

With no imminent news-based trigger from UiPath, price action itself becomes the near-term signal. The $12.73 level is the reference point from here. A clean hold would break the pattern of the past month, while a decisive break lower would confirm it.

The monthly decline of 24% argues for restraint on sizing UiPath rather than aggressive accumulation. Investors may want to keep their allocation moderate until a stabilization pattern shows up on the chart.

The peer read from Pegasystems stock is worth keeping in view for tracking UiPath stock. If the automation corner steadies while UiPath keeps sliding, the name-specific overhang gets clearer, and the case for patience strengthens.

UiPath stock needs a fresh input to change the read on the stock. Until that arrives, the stock is being priced by flow while company news stays quiet.
