XRP ETFs Haven’t Had a Single Day of Outflows in Three Weeks as XRP Reclaims $1.40

XRP ETFs have gone three full weeks without a single day of outflows, but the bigger question is whether that buying pressure actually moved XRP's price or just rode the wave of a White House meeting and a bullish Bitcoin.

XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) ETFs have gone 15 days across 3 calendar weeks without recording a single outflow, pulling in $111 million since the funds lost $3.5 million on August 5.

The 3-week ETFs inflow ran under an XRP price that rose from below $1 in early August to a a high of $1.66 on August 22, fell to $1.44, lost the $1.40 level and reclaimed it. So, how much has XRP ETFs’ 3-week streak contributed to XRP reclaiming $1.40?

Since XRP ETFs inflows came back on August 6, every trading session has closed at $0 or higher, a run of 15 consecutive trading days across 3 calendar weeks according to SoSoValue

Investors added just $5.70 million across the first 8 of those trading sessions between August 6 and August 17, with several days recording $0. Spot XRP ETFs pulled in $105.61 million across the next 7 sessions, from August 18 to August 26, including $28.14 million on August 26 alone.

XRP ETFs’ cumulative net inflows rose from near $1.51 billion in early August to $1.62 billion by August 26. The funds’ total net assets also increased from around $993 million on August 5 to $1.40 billion on August 26.

The $111 million added through new deposits is far smaller than the $407 million increase in total assets, which means most of the funds have recorded this month came from XRP’s price gain rather than fresh capital.

Did XRP ETF Inflows Help XRP Price Reclaim $1.40?

XRP ETF issuers must buy XRP on the open market when new money enters their funds, since each fund holds XRP to back its shares. That means every XRP ETF net inflow this month pulled tokens off exchanges at the same time the XRP price was rallying.

The clearest example happened on August 21 when XRP’s price rallied near 20% in 24 hours on the same day XRP ETFs recorded $18.38 million in net inflows, its largest single-day inflow up until that point. XRP’s price continued to rise, reaching a high of $1.66 on August 22 before the price corrected to $1.44 due to heavy leverage liquidations and profit-taking.

XRP then briefly fell below $1.40 before rebounding, while U.S. spot XRP ETFs broke their August single-day net inflow high again when the funds pulled in $28.14 million on August 26. XRP price falling while spot XRP ETFs hit new single-day net inflows on August 26 shows that the funds could have pushed XRP’s price higher without driving all of the gains.

President Trump’s August 19 meeting with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and other crypto executives at the White House drove the rally, as investors treated the meeting as a signal that the CLARITY Act, a bill that would classify XRP as a digital commodity under Federal law, is backed by the White House. Bitcoin also trading above $77,000 during this rally contributed by giving investors confidence to invest in other cryptos, like XRP.

Can the XRP ETF Streak Keep XRP Above $1.40?

We think the streak gives XRP’s price support, but that support is not strong enough alone to hold XRP above $1.40. XRP ETF total net assets are worth $1.40 billion, which is around 1.54% of XRP’s total market cap of $91.095 billion.

Therefore, XRP ETFs’ current daily net inflows worth tens of millions of dollars can only absorb a small percentage of the selling that happens when traders take profit. XRP price fell from $1.66 to the $1.44 on August 22, even while the ETF streak continued.

If the ETF streak alone is going to hold XRP above $1.40, XRP daily inflows would have to record double digits through September and avoid falling back to the near-zero days recorded in early August. Regardless, progress on the CLARITY Act would also be a significant boost, since a bill that removes XRP’s classification uncertainty would introduce new institutions beyond the current ETF buyers.
