In its latest Bitcoin and Solana price prediction, Claude, the AI model developed by Anthropic, predicts that Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) could reach $240,000 and Solana (CRYPTO:SOL) might reach $320 by the end of 2030. These predictions start from prices of about $82,810 for Bitcoin and $106 for Solana, where both coins traded when Claude made the forecast.

Bitcoin is trading at about $82,720, which is 34.4% lower than its all-time high of $126,080 reached on October 6, 2025. In comparison, Solana trades at around $106, which is 64% below its peak of $293 from January 2025.

Both cryptocurrencies have rebounded, with Bitcoin up 23.4% and Solana increasing by 33% over the last 90 days. However, Solana experienced a slight decline of 5.6% over the past month. So, which cryptocurrency stands a better chance of hitting Claude’s targets?

Claude’s 2030 Targets Need Bitcoin to Nearly Triple and Solana to Top Its Record

Claude’s price target for Bitcoin ranges from $150,000 to $400,000. The lower end assumes a lackluster market after the scheduled Bitcoin halving in April 2028, which cuts miners’ rewards. This scenario also considers pressure from corporate treasuries, companies that borrowed heavily to buy Bitcoin and could weigh on the market. The higher target assumes a strong post-halving rally and increased interest from institutional investors through exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

Achieving the $240,000 target would represent a return of 189.8%, roughly 29% per year. As Bitcoin’s supply is nearly capped at 21 million coins, with 20,098,843 already mined, any price increase will largely depend on new buyers entering the market.

For Solana, the forecast is broader, ranging from $70 to $700. The $320 target represents a 202.6% return and is 9% above Solana’s previous record. Unlike Bitcoin, Solana does not have a maximum supply, and its total supply of more than 636 million tokens already tops the 589 million in circulation. Hence, Solana would need to achieve a market value higher than its previous all-time high to reach this price point.

Claude gives Bitcoin a 60% chance of reaching a new all-time high by the end of 2027, which would require a 52% gain from current levels. In contrast, Claude gives Solana a 30% chance of breaking its previous record, which would need a substantial 177% increase.

Bitcoin’s Forecast Hinges on ETF Demand and Strategy Inc.

Bitcoin’s price predictions depend heavily on demand for Bitcoin ETFs, which directly hold Bitcoin and trade like stocks. As of October 16, these ETFs held approximately $104.3 billion in net assets. However, investors have withdrawn a net total of $617.2 million from them in October through that date. For Claude’s higher price forecast to materialize, this trend needs to reverse and turn into consistent buying.

Bitcoin also faces risks, particularly from significant corporate treasury sales. For example, Strategy Inc. (NASDAQ:MSTR | MSTR Price Prediction) holds about 848,250 BTC, or roughly 4% of the total supply, and new MSCI index rules could cost it billions in passive holdings by index funds. If MSCI excludes Strategy from its indexes starting November 30, demand for its shares could fall, potentially prompting Bitcoin selling as ETF demand wanes.

Solana’s Forecast Hinges on Alpenglow and Stablecoins

For Solana to reach the high end of its forecast at $700, it must become the primary settlement layer for stablecoins (dollar-pegged tokens) and tokenized assets like stocks and bonds on the blockchain. The upcoming Alpenglow upgrade, scheduled for activation on October 21, aims to cut transaction finality, the point after which a transaction can’t be reversed, to 150 milliseconds, which Claude says makes Solana’s settlement pitch technically credible.

However, the upgrade’s success depends on network revenue growing with it. The main risk is that technological advancement could outpace demand if stablecoin issuers and tokenization projects continue to favor Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH).

Claude Would Put $3,500 of $5,000 Into Bitcoin

If given $5,000 to invest, Claude would allocate $3,500 to Bitcoin and $1,500 to Solana, balancing each investment based on potential price declines. For investors with a higher risk tolerance and the ability to withstand greater market fluctuations, Claude suggests a 60/40 split.

While Solana’s projected return slightly exceeds Bitcoin’s by 13 percentage points — 202.6% versus 189.8% — Claude notes that when factoring in probability-weighted expected returns, the outcomes appear more even. This is largely because Solana’s $70 price floor is lower than its current trading level.

Is Claude’s Bitcoin and Solana Price Prediction for 2030 Feasible?

Overall, we believe Bitcoin has a fair chance of reaching $240,000 by the end of 2030. Solana, on the other hand, faces more challenges in reaching the $320 target. For Bitcoin, achieving the goal depends on stabilizing corporate buying trends, boosting ETF flows, and surpassing its previous record of $126,080. For Solana, success hinges on the Alpenglow upgrade’s effectiveness and on becoming a go-to choice for stablecoin and tokenization projects.

Both forecasts carry a downside. If the corporate treasury trade unwinds, Claude’s $150,000 floor looks more realistic for Bitcoin, and if demand stays on Ethereum, Solana could drift toward $70. Strategy Inc. selling Bitcoin after November 30 would hurt Bitcoin’s chances, while positive Solana ETF flows would make Solana’s 2030 target far more credible.
