What Will 100 Hyperliquid (HYPE) Be Worth by 2030?
Multicoin Capital just made Hyperliquid its largest hedge fund position, and a fee buyback mechanism quietly purchases HYPE every single day. Whether those forces can push 100 tokens to $15,000 by 2030 depends on three factors that have nothing to…
As of today, a holding of 100 Hyperliquid (CRYPTO:HYPE) is valued at approximately $8,056, since the token is trading near $81. Although HYPE has risen by 2.1% over the last 24 hours, it has still dropped by 14.5% over the past month.
Despite this decline, HYPE is only 17.8% below its all-time high of $97.96, which it reached on September 23. At that peak, 100 HYPE would have been worth $9,796.
HYPE is back in the spotlight, as Multicoin Capital, a prominent crypto investment firm, has made it the largest position in its hedge fund. So, what could 100 HYPE realistically be worth by 2030? Let’s explore potential future values.
What 100 HYPE Could Be Worth at $50, $150 and $250

The following examples illustrate different potential price scenarios and the required market values that accompany them:
| HYPE Price | Value of 100 HYPE | Implied Market Value (Current Supply) |
|---|---|---|
| $50 | $5,000 | $11.1 billion |
| About $81 | $8,056 | $17.9 billion |
| $150 | $15,000 | $33.4 billion |
| $250 | $25,000 | $55.6 billion |
Currently, about 222.4 million HYPE tokens are in circulation out of a total supply of 955.3 million, meaning only about 23% of all HYPE tokens are available in the market. This is why HYPE’s market value of $17.9 billion appears considerably smaller than its fully diluted value of roughly $77 billion, which includes every token that will eventually exist, including locked tokens.
This difference signals a potential for supply dilution. Token unlocks release coins that are locked away to team members and other holders on a predetermined schedule, each unlock adding to the supply that buyers have to absorb. Thus, a price of $150 for HYPE by 2030 would suggest a market value exceeding $33.4 billion, while $250 would imply a market cap of about $238.8 billion at full supply.
Fee Buybacks, Not Just Multicoin’s Stake, Drive HYPE Demand

Hyperliquid functions as a decentralized exchange, a platform where automated code matches orders and holds user funds. Its primary offering is perpetual futures, which are contracts that track a coin’s price and don’t have an expiration date. Hyperliquid’s Assistance Fund invests most trading fees back into buying HYPE on the open market.
Increased trading activity translates to higher fees, leading to more purchases of HYPE. Conversely, a lull in market activity reduces the regular buying that supports the token’s price. This makes HYPE a reflection of the exchange’s trading volume.
While Multicoin, which manages about $2.7 billion, acquired its HYPE from the open market, showing confidence in the asset, the firm hasn’t revealed the size of its holdings. A single purchase doesn’t significantly affect trading volume. Since the buybacks rely on trading fees, Multicoin’s endorsement primarily boosts market sentiment rather than fundamentally changing HYPE’s supply and demand dynamics.
Hyperliquid’s Open Interest Is Closing In on CME

Open interest—the total value of futures contracts still active—indicates how much traders use a particular exchange. Hyperliquid’s open interest nearly doubled in the third quarter of 2026 to $12.2 billion, as reported by Martin Gaspar, a senior crypto market strategist at prime broker FalconX. For comparison, CME Group (NASDAQ:CME | CME Price Prediction), the Chicago-based derivatives exchange, reported $13.4 billion.
FalconX could benefit as derivatives trading increases, which may influence its perspective. Additionally, while Hyperliquid’s numbers have grown, the HYPE token has still declined over the past month, suggesting strong exchange activity hasn’t been enough to lift prices.
Competition could also challenge Hyperliquid, especially as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has approved crypto perpetual futures for regulated exchanges in the U.S. The CME is currently in a legal dispute regarding this approval. If trading volumes stagnate while competitors expand, buybacks could dwindle, and more unlocked tokens would add to the supply.
Can 100 HYPE Reach $15,000 by 2030?
The $150 target price seems the most achievable of the suggested scenarios, making 100 HYPE worth $15,000. While the $50 target is easier to reach, it reflects a decline from the current price. On the other hand, the $250 target seems unlikely, as it implies a fully diluted value of around $238.8 billion.
For HYPE to reach $150 by 2030, three key factors must align: HYPE must convincingly surpass its all-time high, fourth-quarter open interest must exceed CME’s $13.4 billion, and consistent buybacks from trading fees must absorb the unlocking supply.
However, risk remains: if market activity stalls, HYPE might drift toward the $50 mark, making the $15,000 valuation by 2030 seem ambitious until HYPE convincingly breaks past its previous record.
