People call the Glock 19X “the gun built for the U.S. military.” But this weapon never actually made it to war. Developed in 2017, the Glock 19X became an option to replace the Beretta M9 — a gun that the U.S. military had used for decades. However, the military instead chose to adopt the SIG Sauer’s P320 variants — the M17 and M18. Glock fought this tooth-and-nail, believing that the Glock 19X was a far superior product to what SIG Sauer was offering.
