Costco Same-Store Sales Up 9%

Costco (NASDAQ: COST) same-stores sales rose 9% in November. For the four weeks which ended November 28, international same-store activity was up 13%.

The huge big box retailer said it had revenue of $6.78 billion in November, an increase of 12%. The recent four-week period included sales from the Costco Mexico joint venture, as the Company began consolidating its Mexico operations on a prospective basis beginning with its 2011 fiscal year. Absent Mexico sales, the increase would have been 9%.

During the thirteen weeks of the period ended November 28, 2010, Costco reported net sales of $20.59 billion, an increase of 11% from $18.57 from the same period last year. When Mexico sales are left out, the increase would have been 8%.
