Phoenix, Arizona, is chock-full of fashion outlets, 559 to be exact. The city’s Biltmore Fashion Park has a large concentration of stores, including several luxury stores, one being a Ralph Lauren. Phoenix is home to another Ralph Lauren location as well as two Coach locations and a Fendi store — a luxury Italian fashion brand. The capital of Arizona also hosts an annual Fashion Week. This year’s event will take place in October.

24. Charlotte, NC

Charlotte, North Carolina, is a fashion conscious city. It is home to a variety of clothing stores, including several designer-brand stores. SouthPark Mall in Charlotte is arguably the city’s luxury brand hub, with three of the four high-end brand stores in the city (Burberry, Coach, and Louis Vuitton). Charlotte is also home to a Ralph Lauren store. The headquarters of women’s clothing and accessories chain-store Cato Corporation is located in Charlotte as well.

The capital of Ohio also happens to be the fashion capital of the state. As the lone Ohio city on this list, Columbus is home to four luxury brand stores, 446 fashion-related establishments that cater to a variety of different incomes, and the headquarters of two big-name brands: Express and Victoria’s Secret.

Polaris Fashion Place and Easton Town Center are the city’s two main fashion-oriented malls. Easton contains high-end brand stores Louis Vuitton, Coach, and Burberry, as well as less expensive yet trendy stores such as Ann Taylor and Eddie Bauer.

22. Portland, OR

Anyone who has visited this West Coast city would likely agree that it lives up to its reputation as hipster central. The fashion sported in Netflix’s hit comedy series, “Portlandia,” emulates the style to a T. Portland is home to 584 fashion-related stores — two of which are luxury brand stores Louis Vuitton and Coach. The city also boasts several chic, yet quirky, thrift, and vintage stores such as two Buffalo Exchange stores and an Animal Traffic, which is unique to the city. Portland is also home to 400 fashion designers.

California is a fashionable place — 12 of the top 50 most stylish cities are located in California. San Jose, in particular, is quite an affluent area, with a median annual household income clocking in at $93,602, significantly above the national median household income of $57,617 per year. With such high incomes, some San Jose residents can splurge on more high-end brands such as Burberry, Cartier, Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Coach, Armani, and Versace.
