Nvidia's Bad News (NVDA)

Nvidia (NVDA) had a hell of a quarter. Then the CFO said revenue would decline quarter-over-last-quarter.

For the quarter ending in January, both earnings and revenue rose. The topline hit $879 million up from $634 last year. The company expects to improve its share in the high performance PC market in 2007.

Also, some of the company’s core problems have not gone away. The Justice Department is still looking at price fixing and NVDA has reported receiving subpoenas.

The company still competes with Intel (INTC) in the graphics chip market, and with such a large rival revenue increases could become more dear.

Finally, the company still gets a large portion of its revenue from the PC market. And, that is an industry with slowing growth.
