No, there aren’t 5,000 Apple employees working on self-driving cars

CNBC issues a correction.

CNBC issues a correction to New details about Apple’s autonomous driving technology revealed in complaint against ex-engineer

Correction: A previous version of the story mistakenly said that 5,000 Apple employees are working on autonomous driving technology. The complaint says 5,000 people are “disclosed on the project,” which includes employees working on it or familiar with it.

My take: Sounds more like it. Still, no wonder stuff leaks.
