The S&P 500 is trading at 7,672.29 at midday, up 80.5 points, or about 1.1%, from its previous close of 7,591.79. The morning gains have held through the lunch hour, a sign that sellers have not stepped in to fade the early move.
The Nasdaq Composite is leading the three major indexes with a gain of roughly 1.1%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average is up about 1%. Broad participation across indexes generally reflects wider market confidence rather than a move concentrated in a single sector or handful of stocks.

Looking at the intraday pattern, the S&P 500 dipped toward the 0.75% range in the middle of the session before recovering back above 1%. That kind of mid-morning softness followed by a rebound can indicate that dip buyers are active and that the opening tone has genuine support behind it.
If the indexes hold near current levels into the close, all three major benchmarks will finish the day higher by roughly 1%. A clean close above 7,670 on the S&P 500 would confirm that the morning strength was sustained through a full trading session rather than fading as the day progressed.
