Salesforce has agreed to buy marketing software company Braze in an all-cash deal valued at $5.66 billion, locking in a fixed payout for shareholders and removing any uncertainty about what the stock is worth from here.
The all-cash structure leaves Braze holders no exposure to Salesforce equity and nothing to wait on.
It also raises the floor for comparable mid-cap marketing software names still trading independently.
