Google's SpaceX stake now dominates 95% of its disclosed stock portfolio
As seen on the 24/7 Wall St. homepage on November 7, 2026.
Owning Alphabet now means owning a near pure-play bet on SpaceX's private mark, and any IPO repricing flows straight through to that disclosed portfolio.

Alphabet's disclosed equity holdings are, in practical terms, a single-name position, with roughly 95% of that portfolio tied up in SpaceX.
What that concentration means for shareholders is that any shift in SpaceX's private market valuation flows almost entirely through to Alphabet's disclosed portfolio. A repricing event, whether driven by a funding round, a launch milestone, or renewed IPO speculation, would barely be diluted by other holdings before hitting the books.

Because SpaceX has no continuous public market price, its carrying value is set by periodic marks that can be revised sharply and suddenly. Alphabet investors are accepting that mark-to-private-market risk whether they know it or not.
Any serious conversation about an Alphabet position now has to include a view on SpaceX, a case the 95% figure reported by Kalshi on November 7, 2026 makes difficult to argue against.
