Charlie Bilello's ten-year scorecard, posted November 7, 2026, ranks thirteen assets, and NVIDIA leads at +11,159% while US Bonds returned just +16%.

That bond figure is the number that stings most for conservative portfolios. US inflation rose 39% over the decade, meaning bonds did not come close to preserving purchasing power, let alone growing it. An investor who stayed safe effectively lost ground in real terms.

The equity winners spanned the market, with AMD, Tesla and Apple all posting four-figure gains and the S&P via SPY returning +313%. Even that broad index beat gold, which in turn outpaced bonds by a wide margin.

Dispersion within tech was wide: Microsoft, Google, Meta and Amazon all delivered strong absolute returns yet sit near the middle of this ranking. They look modest only because the leaders compounded so aggressively.

Every year an investor held bonds instead of equities over this stretch, they gave up real returns while inflation eroded the principal's buying power. The decade's data makes that trade-off concrete in a way annualized percentages rarely do.
