IonQ posted Q3 2026 revenue of $173.8 million, clearing the $141.2 million consensus estimate by 23% and marking 336% growth year over year. Two segments drove that result: the IonQ Platform grew 127% to $90.3 million on demand for Superion 256 and Tempo deployments, while the newly consolidated SkyWater Foundry Services segment contributed $83.5 million in its first full quarter of consolidation.

IonQ reported an adjusted loss of $0.29 per share, beating a consensus estimate of $0.80 and extending the company's run to four consecutive quarters of topping EPS expectations. CEO Niccolo de Masi called it the sixth consecutive quarter of record results and the strongest quarter in the company's history.

Remaining performance obligations more than doubled to $1.2 billion, a figure that reflects the depth of signed commercial commitments still to be recognized as revenue. Management responded by raising full-year 2026 revenue guidance to $505 million to $515 million, projecting 110% year-over-year growth in quantum computing revenue. The SkyWater acquisition is doing significant commercial work, but integration costs are real: the adjusted EBITDA loss widened to $133.6 million from $48.9 million a year ago.

IonQ also disclosed contract and partnership developments across its pipeline. The company advanced to Stage C of DARPA's Quantum Benchmarking Initiative, the only trapped-ion company to reach that stage, with a potential program value of up to $300 million. NVIDIA will deploy a Superion 256 system as the first on-premise quantum computer at its Accelerated Quantum Research Center, connecting it directly to AI supercomputing infrastructure.

IonQ also announced the acquisition of Elisity, a Zero Trust security company, for $1.15 billion in stock plus an earnout of up to $150 million, framing the deal as an extension of its post-quantum cryptography and quantum key distribution strategy. A $2.0 billion equity offering closed October 16, 2026, giving the company what management describes as a pro forma cash position of $3.7 billion to fund ongoing expansion. Dilution from that offering and the stock-based acquisition consideration is a risk investors will want to weigh against the improving revenue trajectory.
