Microsoft's MAI-Image-2.6-Preview claimed the number one position on the Artificial Analysis Image Editing Leaderboard and landed at number two in Text to Image, a two-category sweep that puts the model at the front of a crowded field.

MAI-Image-2.6 is the newest entry in Microsoft AI's MAI-Image family, announced on August 10. Microsoft points to stronger text rendering as one of the headline improvements in the release.
