Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing is the company that physically produces the chips powering nearly every major AI system, and since the October 2024 recommendation in Eric Bleeker's AI Portfolio it has returned 132.6%.
A return like that in under two years carries extra weight for a company that sits at the center of one of the most geopolitically sensitive industries in the world. Taiwan Semiconductor's role as the dominant manufacturer for leading AI chip designers has made it both indispensable and, for some investors, a source of hesitation given the risks tied to its geography.
Investors who held back waiting for that geopolitical uncertainty to resolve have so far paid a steep price for the caution. The position has absorbed bouts of volatility over the holding period and still compounded to more than twice its starting value.
The question now is whether the forces that drove the first doubling, relentless demand for advanced chip manufacturing capacity tied to AI infrastructure spending, have more room to run, or whether the easy gains are behind the position. Bleeker's portfolio continues to carry the stock as the two-year mark approaches.
