As seen on the 24/7 Wall St. homepage on August 27, 2026.

The $100 level matters because it is the line Solana spent most of the summer failing to hold. After trading above $125 in late June, the token fell steadily through July, briefly touching the mid-$60s before stabilizing. Tuesday's close at $102.09 is the first time it has finished a session above triple digits in months.
The recovery has been gradual. From the trough near $66, Solana worked its way through the $70s and $80s over several weeks before finally clearing $90 and then stalling there for an extended stretch. The step above $100 on August 26 therefore represents the completion of a multi-month base-building process.

For bulls, the key question now is whether $100 becomes support rather than resistance. The token has repeatedly shown the ability to reclaim round-number levels only to surrender them again under selling pressure. A sustained hold above $100 on subsequent sessions would be the first concrete evidence that the character of this move differs from the false starts that preceded it.
The broader context is a token that was trading near $240 earlier in the year before the extended drawdown began. Even at $102.09, Solana remains well below that peak, which means the recovery, while meaningful, has only retraced a portion of the losses. How the token behaves on the next pullback attempt will tell investors more than the breakout day itself.
