Solana's 6.94% jump off an $87.64 close puts it back above $90, a level it has struggled to hold for months. The next test is whether this becomes a base or another failed bounce.

The $90 level has been the defining line in the sand for Solana over recent months. After trading as high as the mid-$230s earlier in the data window, the token spent weeks grinding through the $70s and low $80s, briefly touching $92 on two occasions only to retreat back below $90 each time.

Thursday's close at $93.72 is the first time the token has convincingly settled above $90 during a sustained run lower. A single-day move of nearly 7% in an asset that has been rangebound for weeks represents a meaningful breakout attempt from a technical standpoint.

Solana spent considerable time consolidating in the $80s after a sharp slide, and that base-building phase can set the stage for a durable recovery. At least two prior attempts to clear $90 quickly reversed, making this close worth watching carefully rather than treating as a clean resolution.

The immediate question for investors is whether $93.72 becomes a launching pad or a ceiling. If buying pressure holds into the next several sessions and the token sustains life above $90, the next technical reference is the mid-$120s, while a failure to hold would keep the months-long pattern of lower highs intact.
