Dutch Bros (BROS) keeps its same-shop sales and visit growth streaks alive

As seen on the 24/7 Wall St. homepage on November 4, 2026.

Dutch Bros continues to gain share in the high-growth beverage category. In the third quarter, we achieved our fourteenth consecutive quarter of positive same shop sales and ninth consecutive quarter of same shop customer visit growth. This is a testament to the strength of our brand, our differentiated people-led culture, and our strategic focus on expanding customer occasions.

Traffic is still carrying Dutch Bros: nine straight quarters of same-shop customer visit growth, a streak almost nobody in coffee or fast casual can match right now. For a chain still early in its buildout, sustained visit growth is the metric that justifies the unit expansion math.

CEO Christine Barone highlighted two milestones in the Q3 2026 earnings report: fourteen consecutive quarters of positive same-shop sales and nine consecutive quarters of same-shop customer visit growth. The visit metric is the harder one to sustain, because it reflects returning customers choosing Dutch Bros over competitors rather than simply paying more for the same drinks.

Same-shop visit growth matters for a chain in active expansion because it validates the unit economics before new locations fully mature. If existing shops are still drawing more traffic each quarter, the case for opening additional stores holds up on its own merits rather than relying on price increases or limited-time offers to flatter the top line.

Barone framed the results as share gains within what she called the high-growth beverage category, crediting the brand, a people-led culture, and a strategic push to expand customer occasions. That last phrase points to efforts to pull customers in at dayparts beyond the morning coffee rush, which is the natural ceiling most coffee chains hit as they scale.

For investors tracking the company, the streak heading into the back half of 2026 is the signal to watch. Nine consecutive quarters of visit growth already covers a wide range of seasonal and economic conditions, and whether that streak extends into Q4 will be the next concrete test of whether the brand's momentum is durable or beginning to plateau.
