United Parcel Service's third quarter of 2026 beat expectations on both earnings and revenue, with adjusted non-GAAP earnings of $1.69 per share topping the consensus estimate. The back-to-back beats extend a streak that now runs four consecutive quarters.

Pricing in the U.S. Domestic Package segment carried the quarter, with revenue per piece rising 6.1% even as average daily volume dipped. Holding margin while volume softens is the clearest sign that UPS's premium-positioning strategy is working.

Supply Chain Solutions was the fastest-growing segment, with revenue climbing 18.2% year-over-year on gains in forwarding, logistics, and healthcare, while International Package added higher revenue per piece. The breadth of the beat, across all three segments, makes the quarter harder to dismiss as a single-unit story.

Management followed the results by raising full-year 2026 guidance, now targeting consolidated revenue of approximately $92.6 billion. The fourth-quarter revenue outlook matters because it frames expectations heading into the peak holiday shipping season.

CEO Carol Tomé noted that UPS is entering the holiday shipping season from what she called a position of strength, citing the company's most automated and efficient network in its history. The Efficiency Reimagined initiative has already delivered approximately $1.8 billion in transformation benefits through the first nine months of 2026. Investors will want to track whether volume recovers in Q4.
