Cramer almost endorsed Vertiv but political risk held him back

As seen on the 24/7 Wall St. homepage on August 26, 2026.

Cramer stops just short of an endorsement on Vertiv, crediting its closed-loop cooling as an overlooked edge while data-center water use draws scrutiny from Texas to Austin.

Vertiv has a solution for water use that makes it circular. But nobody talks about it. Electricity still high but that can be worked out with communities by paying their electric bills. Would be pounding table on Vertiv but political issues....

Jim Cramer posted on August 26 that Vertiv has developed a circular water-use solution for data centers, singling it out as an overlooked technical edge at a moment when data-center water consumption is drawing growing scrutiny from regulators and communities across the country.

Cramer acknowledged that electricity costs remain elevated but framed that as a solvable problem, pointing to data-center operators working directly with local communities by covering their electric bills, an unusual arrangement that reflects how intense the pressure on energy and water resources has become.

Despite crediting Vertiv with what he called an unrecognized advantage, Cramer stopped short of a full endorsement, citing unspecified political issues as the reason he would not be "pounding the table" on the stock. The post drew 142 likes, signaling real engagement from investors paying attention to the data-center infrastructure trade.

The restraint is notable coming from Cramer, who rarely hedges this openly on a company he otherwise speaks positively about. Until those political headwinds are clarified, his reluctance to recommend the stock outright is what any investor in this name has to weigh.
