Bitcoin miners owned Thursday's close, led by Marathon Digital finishing 13.5% higher, with Cipher Mining and Iren both up 7% or more. Large-cap losses ran heavier than usual, with Qualcomm off 5.66% and General Motors down 4.93%.
Latest Activity
Cipher Mining closed the session up 10.4% at $16.66, the widest gain across 111 priority names. At the other end, ON Semiconductor gave up 8.9% and Diamondback Energy 7.8%, a roughly 19-point spread between the best and worst names on the day.
Server hardware owned Friday's close: Hewlett Packard Enterprise added 12.2% and Dell 11.5%, with ON Semiconductor and Super Micro also finishing up more than 7%. NuScale Power sat at the other extreme, down 14.8% to $8.70.
Cloudflare closed up 10.57% at $314.35, the biggest gain across 111 priority names. Cipher Mining shed 8.56% and Lyft 7.91% at the other extreme.
Snowflake closed 17.43% higher, the biggest single-day move in a 111-stock priority universe. Only three other names in that group gained more than 9%.
A 12.8% intraday jump to $17.02 adds real money to a $7.1 billion market cap in one session. Moves this size rarely settle quietly in this name, so keep an eye on whether it holds into the close.
Futu Holdings closed up 9.75%, the biggest move in a 110-stock priority list where five names finished higher by 5% or more. The downside was far tamer: only Cipher Mining lost more than 4%.
A near 10% single-day drop in a mega-cap retailer like Walmart, closing at $103.10, is the kind of move that rarely shows up on a leaderboard next to small caps. Marathon Digital ran the other way, up 13.37%, with Cipher Mining also in the green.
Fabrinet closed down 20% at $477.37, the deepest single-day loss in a 110-name priority list, with optical peers Applied Optoelectronics and Coherent also off double digits. Duolingo led all gainers at 8.3%.
Applied Optoelectronics closed out the week up 15.4% at $150.13, nearly triple the next best move on the board. Chip and storage names filled in behind it, while Duolingo and Asana ended the week lower.
