About Core Scientific
Core Scientific, Inc. (NASDAQ: CORZ) designs, builds, and operates large-scale, purpose-built data centers for high-density colocation (HDC) services, primarily serving artificial intelligence and other compute-intensive workloads. The majority of the company's revenue is derived from HDC services, with the remainder from earning digital assets (bitcoin) for its own account and from digital asset mining hosting services for third-party customers. The company is in the process of repurposing its remaining mining facilities to support its high-density colocation business. Core Scientific operates facilities across seven U.S. states — Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and Texas — with approximately 1.1 GW of leased customer power capacity. Its anchor colocation customers include CoreWeave (approximately 590 MW under 12-year take-or-pay contracts) and AMD (approximately 530 MW under 15-year agreements). The company estimates over $24 billion of total potential contracted revenue from its current customer commitments. Updated
