About Cheniere Energy
Cheniere Energy, Inc. (NYSE: LNG) is a U.S. producer and exporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG). It operates as a full-service LNG provider with capabilities spanning gas procurement and transportation, liquefaction, vessel chartering and LNG delivery.
Its liquefaction platform consists of two U.S. Gulf Coast facilities:
- **Sabine Pass LNG terminal** (Cameron Parish, Louisiana): over 30 mtpa of capacity across six trains, operated through Cheniere Partners, L.P. (NYSE: CQP). Cheniere owns 100% of Cheniere Partners' general partner interest and a 48.6% limited partner interest.
- **Corpus Christi LNG terminal** (Texas): over 25 mtpa of capacity, including three large trains and the seven-midscale-train CCL Stage 3 Project, completed in August 2026.
Combined operating capacity is approximately 56 mtpa. The company has the following projects in the pipeline:
- About 5 mtpa under construction via the CCL Midscale Trains 8 & 9 Project, expected to reach substantial completion in 2H 2028.
- Over 40 mtpa in regulatory permitting through the SPL Expansion Project (up to approximately 20 mtpa) and the CCL Expansion Project (up to approximately 24 mtpa).
Revenue comes predominantly from LNG sales, largely under long-term SPAs and through its marketing arm, Cheniere Marketing. Smaller amounts come from regasification and other revenues. Recent customer contracts include QatarEnergy and Petrobras. The company also holds long-term Integrated Production Marketing agreements with gas producers. Fair-value changes in these agreements create volatility in GAAP earnings. Updated
51 stocks printed fresh 52-week highs this week, and the leadership is energy plus big biotech: Cheniere cleared its prior peak by 11.7%, with Regeneron, Eli Lilly and Gilead all stretching more than 8% past theirs.
A 32-point gap separates the best and worst names in a 381-stock universe today: ServiceNow and Fortinet both shed roughly 24% while Eli Lilly leads the upside at 7.72%. Positioning set for a quiet session is already wrong.
Cheniere raised full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance to $8.75 billion to $9.25 billion after topping expectations on both lines, with the final CCL Stage 3 train finished ahead of schedule. Management also lifted the quarterly dividend.
