About PennyMac Mortgage Investment Trust
PennyMac Mortgage Investment Trust is a real estate investment trust (REIT) that focuses on mortgage-related assets in the United States. It operates in three main areas: Credit Sensitive Strategies, which includes investments in various mortgage and real estate assets; Interest Rate Sensitive Strategies, focusing on mortgage servicing rights and mortgage-backed securities; and Correspondent Production, dealing with the purchase and resale of residential loans. Founded in 2009 and based in Westlake Village, California, the company aims to provide returns to its shareholders by distributing at least 90% of its taxable income.
