Banco de Chile is a full-service financial institution organized under Chilean banking law, serving over 2 million customers across all segments of the Chilean financial market. The bank provides a wide variety of lending and non-lending products including current accounts, credit and debit cards, mortgage loans, consumer loans, commercial loans, leasing, factoring, foreign trade, and treasury services. Through its subsidiaries operating under the Banchile brand, it offers securities brokerage, mutual funds and investment funds management, insurance brokerage, financial advisory and investment banking, and acquiring and processing services for credit and debit cards. The bank operates under two brand names — Banco de Chile (nationwide) and Banco Edwards-Citi (oriented to higher-income segments). Its main shareholder is the LQIF group (51.15%), a joint venture equally owned by Quiñenco S.A. and Citigroup Inc., with Quiñenco exercising control. The strategic alliance with Citigroup provides customers access to international products and services. Banco de Chile's shares trade on the Santiago and Electronic Stock Exchanges under the ticker 'CHILE' and on the NYSE as ADRs under 'BCH', with each ADS representing 200 common shares. The bank maintains strong credit ratings (A2/Stable from Moody's, A/Stable from S&P) and competes primarily with Banco Santander Chile, BCI, Scotiabank Chile, and Itaú in both retail and wholesale markets.
