DTE Gas Company is a public utility subsidiary of DTE Energy Company engaged in the purchase, storage, transportation, distribution, and sale of natural gas to approximately 1.4 million customers throughout Michigan, as well as the sale of storage and transportation capacity. The company is regulated by the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) and certain activities are regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). DTE Gas operates natural gas infrastructure including pipeline systems, compressor stations, and storage facilities. The company serves residential, commercial, and industrial customers and participates in Michigan's Customer Choice program, which gives customers the option of retail access to alternative natural gas suppliers.
