Markets in Europe were up modestly at 5.50 AM New York time.
The FTSE was up .3% to 6,173. Barclays was up .2% to 717.5. BP was down .3% to 578.5. British Air was up 1.5% to 508.5. BT was up .5% to 297.5. GlaxoSmithKline was down .1% to 1345. Prudential was up .3% to 696. Reuters was down .4% to 448.5. Unilever was up .3% to 1384. Vodafone was up .7% to 142.
The DAXX was up .3% to 6,498. Bayer was up 1% to 40.38. DeutscheBank was flat at 100.7 Daimler was up 1% to 45.71. Deutsche Telekom was up .7% to 13.66. Siemens was down .4% to 73.36. Volkswagen was up 1.1% to 83.66.
The CAC 40 was up .4% to 6,451. Alcatel/Lucent was up .1% to 10.65. AXA was up 1.2% to 30.34. France Telecom was up .9% to 20.32. ST Micro was up .2% to 13.75. Vivendi was up .4% to 29.4.
