Markets in Asia were narrowly mixed.

The Nikkei  was down a small fraction to 17,202. Bridgestone was up 1% to 2615.Canon was flat a 6440. Fuji Film was down 1% to 4720. Hitachi was down .4% to 795. Honda was flat at 4090. Japan Air was down 2.8% to 240. NEC was up .3% to 611. NTT was down 1% to 606000. Docomo was down 1% to 191000. Sharp was up .1% to 1994. Sony was down .2% to 5690. Softbank was up .8% to 2460. Toshiba was down .7% to 822. Toyota was down .3% to 7920. Yahoo Japan was up 2.3% to 47200.

The Hang Seng was down .2% to 20,028. Cathay Pacific was down 2.4% to 20.35. China Mobile was down .5% to 68. China Netcom was up 1.8% to 19.36. HSBC was up .4% to 140.6. PCCW was down .2% to 4.74.

The KOSPI was down .1% to 1,390.

The Straits Times was up .2% to 3,041.

The Shanghai Composite was up .9% to 2,821.
