Markets in Asia were down

The Nikkei fell .9% to 17,365. Bridgestone was off 1.6% to 2400. Canon was off .8% to 6470. Fuji Film was off .4% to 4860. Hitachi was up 3% to 903. Honda was down 1.4% to 4200. NEC was down 1.3% to 616..  NTT was down 1.1% to 604000. Docomo was down 1.4% to 215000. Sharp was down .7% to 2290. Softbank was down 1% to 3070. Sony was down .8% to 6210. Toshiba was down 1.3% to 789. Toyota was down 1.2% to 7730. Yahoo Japan was down 2.2% to 40650.

The Hang Seng was down .3% to 19,709. Cathay Pacific was down .5% to 20.3. China Mobile was down 1.3% to 70.75. China Netcom was up 1.4% to 18.6. China Unicom was up 1.4% to 10.38. HSBC was down .4% to 136.8. PCCW was down .2% to 4.71.

The KOSPI was up .2% to 1,453.

The Straits Times was up .8% to 3,230.

The Shanghai Composite was up .5% to 3,189.
