Markets in Europe were up at 6.40 AM New York time.

The FTSE rose .4% to 6,343.

Barclays was up .5% to 726.5. BP was up .3% to 549. BT was up .3% to 311. GSK was up .4% to 1384. Prudential was up .6% to 726. Reuters was up .4% to 476.25. Unilever was up .8% to 1534. Vodafone was up .1% to 136.7.

The DAXX rose .9% to 6,997. Bayer was down .1% to 47.51. Daimler was up .2% to 62.3 DeutscheBnk was up .7% to 101.11. Deutsche Telekom was up .5% to 12.73. SAP was up .7% to 33.9. Siemens was up .4% to 79.96.

The CAC 40 was up .6% to 5,678. Alcatel-Lucent was up 1.1% to 8.96. AXA was up .5% to 31.83. France Telecom was up .3% to 20.21. ST Micro was up .3% to 14.49. Vivendi was up .4% to 30.71.
