Affiliated Computer (ACS) announced a $1 Billion share repurchase program.
Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) signed a 750 million Euro package of frame agreements with China Mobile and China Unicom, although some parts of this agreement were already in place.
China Fire & Sec Group (CFSG) announced a $31 million contract with Shougang Jingtang Steel and Iron.
Dr. Reddy’s (RDY) and Argenta Discovery announce a major milestone in targeting a novel disease-modifying approach to treat the underlying cause of chronic respiratory diseases.
Genlyte (GLYT) being acquired by Philips Holdings for $95 per share.
Immunicon (IMMC) said that its CellSearch Circulating Tumor Cell Kit received FDA approval for monitoring patients with metastatic colorectal cancer.
Jetblue (JBLU) joined the Orbitz Worldwide network. 
Linktone Ltd. (LTON) is getting an investment proposal from CDC Corp. (CHINA) and Lunar Capital.
Occidental (OXY) announced a major development contract in Libya.
Rio Tinto (RTP) is investing roughly $2.4 Billion in two new iron ore mines in Australia and it is increasing dividend by 30%; after strategic review it is increasing its divestment targets from $10 Billion to $15 Billion.
Schering-Plough (SGP) said its NDA was accepted by FDA for schizophrenia and acute mania treatment.
